Terms of Service

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to register.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One person may not share login credentials beyond the number of simultaneous screens allowed by their plan.

2. Subscriptions, rentals and purchases

• Subscriptions: recurring monthly plans grant access to films marked as subscription-included. Plans auto-renew until cancelled.
• Rentals: a rental gives you a limited viewing window for a specific film, starting when you first press play.
• Purchases: a purchase grants ongoing access to a specific film on your account.
• Prices are shown in USD or your local currency where available and may change. Active subscriptions keep their price until renewal.

3. Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing or purchasing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees and one-off transactions. You can cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have a billing issue.

4. Donations

Donations made through Filmaver are voluntary contributions to support filmmakers and their projects. By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that:

• No ownership or rights: a donation is a gift. It does not give you any ownership, title, equity, copyright, licence or other rights of any kind in the film, the filmmaker or their project.
• Not an investment: a donation is not an investment in the film, the filmmaker or the project, and does not entitle you to any share of revenue, profits or any other financial return.
• No creative involvement: a donation does not entitle you to play any part in the project, participate in its development, receive credit or influence its content in any way.
• No obligations to donors: filmmakers are not obliged to provide anything in return for a donation — including, without limitation, completion, release or distribution of the project, or any repayment of the donated amount.
• Non-refundable: donations are voluntary and non-refundable, and do not create any partnership, agency or fiduciary relationship between you and the filmmaker.

5. Affiliate programme

Approved affiliates may share discount links. Affiliate discounts apply to the film and cannot be combined with other promo codes. Affiliate earnings are paid out according to the agreed revenue share once the payout threshold is met and Stripe onboarding is complete. Affiliates must comply with applicable advertising and disclosure laws.

6. Filmmakers and studios

• Studio accounts are granted at Filmaver’s discretion after application and review.
• Studios retain ownership of their content and grant Filmaver a licence to stream it on the service.
• Studios are responsible for owning or holding all necessary rights to the content they submit.
• Revenue shares and any submission or screener fees are set out in the studio agreement and dashboard.
• Filmaver may remove content that is unlawful, infringing, or breaches these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, download, redistribute or attempt to extract streamed content.
• Share, sell or resell access beyond what your plan allows.
• Use the service to infringe intellectual property rights.
• Interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service or its security measures.
• Submit content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing or harmful.

8. Intellectual property

Filmaver, its name and logo, and all content on the service are owned by Filmaver or its partners and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use them without permission except to use the service as intended.

9. Availability and changes

We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Some films may be unavailable in certain regions or may be removed. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and update pricing for future billing cycles with notice.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including payment obligations and intellectual property — will remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Filmaver is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum required by law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the service and update the “last updated” date. Continued use after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
